The camping area is large and flat, allowing campervans and motorhomes to park comfortably with space between vehicles. As a freedom camping site, facilities are not provided, so travellers must arrive fully self contained. The open terrain makes access easy for a wide range of vehicle sizes. Lake Dunstan offers swimming, paddleboarding and relaxed shoreline walking opportunities. The nearby Lake Dunstan Trail provides excellent cycling access between Cromwell and surrounding settlements. Vineyards and cellar doors are also within short driving distance, adding food and wine experiences to the stay.
